PaperCut Hive App Registration
All staff will get a welcome email containing account setup steps. If you have not received this email, please contact the Service Desk for us to resend it to you.
Click Get Started to begin.
To register your phone for secure release, select Get App from the registration page within the email.
Scan the QR code with your phone. (This works best if you have the email open on your computer.) If you cannot scan the code, tap the link under the code.
(If you already have the PaperCut Hive app installed, it will automatically open the app. Otherwise, it will prompt you to install it from the App Store or Google Play Store.)
* If you are sent a re-invite and the QR code does not appear, click on "Show blocked content" at the top of the email for the QR code to appear.
With the app opened on your phone, swipe left twice until you see the "Request Access" screen, then tap "Get Started".
The app will now ask if you have a Hive invitation in your email. Tap "Yes".
The app will now ask you to allow camera access. This is so that you can scan the QR code from the email that was sent to you. You may also get a popup from your phone to allow access. Tap "Allow" on the notification from your phone and "Okay, let's do it!" within the app.
This is where your QR code in your email comes in, and where it is easier to have the email open on a separate device or your computer. Point your phone at your computer's/other device's screen where your QR code is.
The app will automatically continue once it successfully scans the code.
Next, the app will ask you to enable notifications. This will alert you when a print job was submitted, ready to be printed, successfully prints or fails printing.
Please tap "Allow" and then "Okay, let's do it!"
When setup is complete, you'll be met with this screen. Tap "Continue".
Your phone is now linked. You can now securely release print jobs to any AIU Sharp copier or printer.
